“Poetic Realities” by France Wagner
13 June – 4 October
We are happy welcoming the French artist France Wagner for an exhibition in the orangery.
This beautiful part of the stables and grounds will reopen and host during the summer magnificent large-scale paintings of the artist, who 10 years ago had her first successful exhibition in the Renaissance palace.
A retrospective, but with many recent works as well, an exhibition devoted to the full scope of the career of the artist, whose renown in France and Europe is done for years.
The French sculptor Paul Belmondo described her work “as delightful, with a great importance of freshness and colours” that set him totally under a spell of her works. He classified her as “one of the genius painters of our period”.
The French painter Corneille appreciated “her vigour, determination, touch of innocence painting fruits, flowers, trees, portraits, … Canvases with soft and warm colours with an iridescent light”
