Journey into Fairground Art
Have you ever imagined what the very first funfairs looked like?
Long before giant rides and modern attractions, these popular events were already delighting both children and adults with astonishing curiosities, skill games, and fascinating performances.
Starting June 13th, the Château d’Ancy-le-Franc invites you to discover its new temporary exhibition: Journey into Fairground Art.
Following the success of his exhibition dedicated to magic and illusions, Karl the Illusionist returns with an incredible collection retracing the history of fairground art. Through rare objects, authentic scenery, and displays inspired by antique rides, this exhibition reveals a fascinating and little-known side of popular heritage.
A true immersion into a world of entertainment, curiosities, and memories from the past!
The perfect family outing to amaze children… and awaken the child within every adult!
Temporary exhibition on display until September 13th, 2026, inside the château, along the ground-floor visitor route.
